THE BRIEF
A street-style campaign built around emotion and presence in an unexpected urban setting. The goal was to capture the energy of a spontaneous story — cinematic, romantic, and alive.
ART DIRECTION
We started with a detailed moodboard inspired by retro film stills and soft, nostalgic tones.
Chinatown was chosen intentionally — not as a backdrop, but as a character in the narrative:
light reflections, textured storefronts, and layered cultural details.
The visual language blends:
warm film-like tones,
expressive shadows and highlights,
authentic street movement surrounding the frame.
The direction was guided by emotion rather than stiffness — we wanted the city to respond.
APPROACH
We worked with Giorgia — an actress — and focused on capturing her emotional range.
Instead of posing, she interacted with the environment: walking into light, reacting to sounds,
connecting to the space. Her presence shaped the scene.
The process was dynamic:
fast shooting style,
natural light and real passersby,
intuitive changes in direction based on mood and light.
The energy of the location and her performance created a dialogue between subject and city.
OUTCOME
The final images feel cinematic and atmospheric — like fragments of a film you walked into.
Unrehearsed expressions, layered textures, and the unique chaos of the street made the story
authentic and unrepeatable.
Not just a photoshoot — a captured mood.
